本专业培养具有较高文化艺术素质，系统掌握表演专业所需的基本知识、基本理论和熟练的专业技能，能从事电影、电视、广播及舞台表演创作和节目主持，以及表演理论研究和教学工作的应用型专门人才。

　　The acting department intends to cultivate specialized staffs engaging in film, TV，radio , stage performing , program hosting, acting theory research and teaching with high academic skills of ground knowledge, elementary theory and proficient in acting area.

　　本专业十分注重学生创作实践和创作技能，旨在为各类影视剧、演艺事业培养具有宽广的文化视野、新颖的艺术观念、熟练掌握各类影视剧表演技能的专门人才.毕业时达到具备基本的表演学系统理论知识,能够独立参与完成影视剧及其他演艺作品和完成专业相关课题的论文的能力。具备团队工作的能力，能够和各种类型的人员进行交流和协同工作。毕业生具有爱国主义精神和高尚的道德情操，良好的社会责任感和认真负责的职业精神，并具备进一步提高自己艺术创造水平的潜力。

　　The department focuses on the students’skill and practice of creation in order to cultivate the students to be highly professional in acquiring acting skills with broad culture vision and unique art conception. The graduations are aimed to acquire the ability to write the thesis independently in related areas or take part in the TV and film making and other work of art with team sprit and patriotism of high social responsibility and the potential to further enhance their art creation ability.

　　本专业聘请了一批戏剧界、影视界最优秀的表演艺术家担任兼职教授和主讲老师，他们是：张应湘、娄际成、钱苑、张洵澎、蔡一磊等。

　　The department invited a number of outstanding artists in film, stage and TV area to be the students visiting professors and the lecturers, such as Mr Jiao Huang , Mr Zhang Yingxiang ,Mr Lou Jicheng , Mr Qian Yuan, Mr Zhang Xunpeng, Mr Cai Yilei ,etc.
